Sweden specific polar experiments for long range flight ergonomics

Abstract

The paper presents the results of mission held in December 1999 at Kiruna Esrange Northern Swedish Space Center, in the frame of research program initiated in 1998 under the auspices of French Conference des Grandes Écoles and Swedish Committe of Deans and Presidents of Universities, to get the best out of co-operation with the highly adapted infrastructures of Sweden's Northern Facilities. Its aim consists basically in developing balanced activities including participation of students and searchers of both countries, and scientific experiments and critical investigations concerning practical aspects of long range space flight. The scientific frame is Minimal Artificial Weightiness Concept (MAWC) developped in 1998 with Matra Marconi Space financement, and published (IAF/IAA-98-G.3.02).
