Abstract
The Two-Input Two-Output Port model approach was proposed as a general tool to model flexible multi-body systems with varying parameters. The associated MAT-LAB/SIMULINK toolbox (SDTlib) now includes some tutorials for space system engineer training. This paper focuses on the well-known spring-mass systems to illustrate the main properties of this approach before to consider the 6 degrees of freedom case.
