An approach to improve risk assessment using experience feedback

Abstract

This paper presents a study on knowledge management for the disassembly of end-of-life aircraft. This study is part of a project called "DIAGNOSTAT”. One objective of this project is to collect knowledge from aircraft disassembly to improve the design and maintenance of aircraft. We propose to develop mechanisms for decisionsupport using experience feedback to perform a risk assessment on critical areas or parts of the airplane. The first section introduces the industrial context and the experience feedback process. The second part presents, after a survey of the concept of risk, the application we plan to develop. The last section develops the prospects of this work from an industrial and scientific points of view.
