Abstract

Autonomous systems, be they stationary or specialized for applications in transport, are used for an increasing number of services that are ensured and made secure by systems supplied by electrical energy. These systems are referred to as autonomous, considering only the point of view of electrical energy: the entirety of consumer components connected to the network absorbs power at any moment equal to that provided by the entirety of the sources (storage components belonging to latter category). In this context we will deal with certain aspects contributing to the design of such an electrical network, which we will need to define (in part) by: – its geometry; – the properties of its components (generators, other sources of electrical energy, cables, and elements for control and monitoring); – the properties, defined by standards, which must satisfy the consumer components that will be connected to it. We limit our study to the case of networks functioning on direct current (DC), which are frequently used in aeronautics, automobile and naval fields.
