Abstract

Decision Support Systems are designed to support decision makers facing unstructured problems. They were developed to interactively simulate the problem in order to propose part of the solution to the user. In organizations, decision making processes generally involve a group of individuals, rather than just one person. Group Decision Support Systems (GDSS) are designed to support groups involved in a decisional process. An overview of GDSS is presented, and a particular system called GRoUp System (GRUS) is demonstrated. A new methodology to use it is also presented in order to promote cooperation among stakeholders.
