Abstract
In this work, we try to highlight the influence of the simplifications made in the complete set of rate equations describing the behavior of a QCL. We show in the first part, that the static behavior can be well described by a very simplified set of equations, whereas, in the second part, results of simulations show that it could not be true for the dynamic behavior.
