Abstract
This paper deals with integration of energy-related constraints into scheduling for a foundry. Accounting for energy and human resource constraints leads to better solutions in terms of cost and overall energy consumption. Following some previous work (Hait et al. (2007)), we propose a hybrid heuristic based on a two-step constraint/mathematical programming approach to solve the problem.
